Zoom TinyCore by itself only contains the bare minimum of accessories but additional packages can be installed from the repositories

The developers of Tiny Core Linux, which is only 12MB in size, have released the latest version of their distribution. Tiny Core 4.6 improves support for RAID setups and has a new user interface for finding and selecting the fastest repository mirror for package updates and the installation of Self Contained Mountable (SCM) applications.

As the name suggests, Tiny Core is one of the smallest desktop Linux distributions. The latest release bundles version 3.0.21 of the Linux kernel with Xvesa, the Fltk widget toolkit and the Flwm window manager. The Wbar dock provides application launchers on the lower window edge. All of this is included in 12MB for TinyCore's standard version – this can be modified by installing additional applications from the repositories. Alternatively, users can download the CorePlus version which clocks in at 64MB and comes with popular applications pre-installed.

A complete list of features of Tiny Core 4.6 is available in the release notes. TinyCore, CorePlus and the command line only Core version (which is a mere 8MB in size) are available for download from the project's web site.
