Also sent to San Antonio were forwards Rocco Grimaldi, Quinton Howden and Drew Shore, and defensemen Alex Petrovic and Mackenzie Weegar.

"All of these players competed very hard over the last two weeks and had excellent training camps," general manager Dale Tallon told the Panthers website. "They are all young and talented players who will be a big part of our organization moving forward. We are very confident that they will help us win now and in the future."

The Panthers also placed defenseman Blake Parlett on injured reserve, leaving the roster at 24 players.

The Vancouver Canucks assigned forward Hunter Shinkaruk to Utica of the AHL.
