About the author

T.M. Frazier lives in sunny Southwest Florida with her husband and daughter. She dreamed of being a writer since the day she learned how to read. After spending many years working in real estate she decided could no longer ignore that dream.
She published her first book, The Dark Light of Day, in 2013 and has since become a USA Today bestselling author several times over. Her books have been translated into numerous languages and published all around the world.
T.M. enjoys writing what she calls ‘wrong side of the tracks romance’ with morally corrupt anti-heroes and ballsy heroines.
Her books have been described as raw, dark and gritty. Basically, what that means, is while some authors are great at describing a flower as it blooms, T.M. is better at describing it in the final stages of decay.
She loves meeting her readers, but if you see her at an event please don’t pinch her because she's not ready to wake up from this amazing dream.

A twisty ending I never saw coming, a love so strong that is spans the decades and enemies on opposing sides which they both never realise until it’s too late. I’m intrigued to find out what happens next with Emma Jean and Grim:) I also loved reading about an old favourite again and can’t wait for October:)
Kept me wanting to keep reading
Can’t wait to read chapter two and three
Frazier does a fantastic job with the characters—they are well-developed, flawed yet incredibly likeable. Emma Jean is a sassy, strong woman with a kick-ass attitude that I love. (Save me from simpering damsels in distress!) And there is great depth to Grim who can be sweet and caring underneath the hard exterior.
The story takes place is in the aptly named town of Lacking. Frazier builds a bleak and violent world that is frighteningly believable. The book is well-written and fast paced with plenty of steamy romance that kept me happy. But a word of warning to the more delicate romance readers out there, Perversion contains sex, abuse, violence and bad language. Don’t read it if you are easily offended.
The book ends on a cliffhanger and I’ll definitely be reading Possesion, book 2 in the series

The story of Grim and Emma Jean was so so good. It has all the twists and turns that you can expect from T.M. Frazier. Also the bloody cliffhangers. I swear she lives to torture us!

WARNING: PERVERSION is a dark romance with graphic scenes of rape and sexual assault, and other triggers that may not be suitable for all readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Tricks and Grim) PERVERSION follows five years in the life of Emma Jean ‘Tricks’ Parish, and Tristan ‘Grim’ Paine, both products of a failed and compromised foster care system.
Five years earlier, sixteen-year old Tristan Paine met his future in the guise of a young girl who conned our anti-hero out of his wallet and his heart. Pulled from his latest foster home Tristan would find himself a new family with the Bedlam Brotherhood, where for five years he played executioner and guardian but five years where he continued to search for the young girl he would affectionately come to call his own. At twelve years old, Emma Jean aka EJ was ‘sold’ along with Gabby Vega to the local Los Muertos gang run by Gabby’s brother Marco Vega. For five long years, EJ and Gabby had to earn a living conning the people of the town of Lacking, Florida, a con that prevented EJ and Gabby from working the streets. Fast forward to present day wherein EJ aka Tricks will come face to face with her future and her past with the reappearance of the man with whom she would fall in love. Hoping to escape the Los Muertos gang, EJ makes plans that involve running until she can run no more but all is for not when betrayal and vengeance rip EJ’s world apart, taking her innocence and freedom, leaving our heroine a prisoner, for perhaps the rest of her life.
PERVERSION is a dark, raw, and gritty story line with graphic scenes of sexual assault, violence and rape. There is nothing pretty or flowery about the life of a gang member; few survive without permanent damage while others find refuge in heaven or hell. T.M. Frazier pulls the reader into the frightening and repulsive world of the street gangs of Lacking, Florida, a town controlled by the gangs themselves. Tricks and Grim did what they had to do to survive but surviving meant compromise and heart break, sorrow and pain as they watch the world around them crumble knowing they are part of the destruction and fall-out. The premise is dramatic, intense and creative following a Romeo and Juliet outline; the characters are flawed, broken and strong; the romance struggles in the face of time, distance and the knowledge that one or both may not survive.

The imagery and scene setting in Perversion was so immersive I felt like I was in the town of Lacking. To the point, I could nearly feel the dust and grit of the town and the Los Muertos compound on my skin. Between that and the fabulously engrossing storytelling, I was completely spellbound by the book with morbid fascination. I was enthralled with every aspect of the story and impressed by how different it felt from other star-crossed lover and gang books.
Emma Jean and Tristan were both very intriguing characters. There was also a very interesting duality between them regarding the ways they’d grown and changed in the opposing familial dynamics they’d been thrust into in the opening chapters of the novel. I am quite looking forward to seeing how the differences in their experiences during the years they spent apart will inform the rest of their relationship.
Perversion is the first book in TM Frazier’s Perversion trilogy. These books are a true trilogy and will need to be read in order, for the complete story. There is a small tie to one of Ms. Frazier’s other series, but it has no bearing on the understanding of this book. Perversion is written in dual first-person perspective, narrated by Emma Jean and Tristan.
Though I am relatively new to TM Frazier’s writing, I am definitely a believer. She has completely won me over with her taboo, gritty writing and heavily flawed characters. She has a great ability to make situations and people who should be wholly unforgivable sympathetic and easy to relate to. I am continually impressed with her work and look forward to enjoying her stories for years to come.

Not that she ever really went anywhere, but I'll be real here and admit that I found her last few releases to lack the dark and grittiness that she usually brings to her stories. I also found that they weren't as unpredictable as her earlier novels were, which was a little disappointing since T.M.'s bombshells and plot twists are l e g e n d a r y, and they all always blow my mind.
So going into Perversion, I was a little nervous that it wouldn't be as T.M. Frazier as I hoped it would be. But I needn't be nervous, because as I said, she. Is. BACK!
One of the things I love most about her is how she pushes herself to her limits in her books, and she always takes her stories places I never knew they could go, and she definitely pushed herself here in Perversion. It took me back to when King was first released and I first read that story, and I was just blown away by all this author gave me: an unexpected and unpredictable storyline, intense love-to-hate-you and hate-to-love-you characters, and a world I'd hate to find myself in, yet am intrigued about from afar...
Perversion was all that and more.
And it's truly a story unlike anything I've ever read before.
It's dark, yet something tells me Grim and Emma Jean's story will be darker as the trilogy goes on. It's gruesome. It's sexy. It's dangerous. It's addictive. It's T.M. Frazier bringing her all and blowing her readers away yet sucking you in all at the same time in one book. I read Perversion and I was hooked. She built this world and made it so real, and raw, and rough, and dangerous. She built this town and wrote it out in a way that had me immediately seeing it, and I was immediately intrigued. She described a scene, and I saw it play out in my mind vividly. She wrote these characters and I didn't just see the danger that lurked around them, I FELT it coming off them in waves.
She didn't just write a unique romance between two characters; she wrote a full blown love story full of angst and drama, love and devotion, with twists and turns, and gasp worthy scenes that'll have you devouring this story all the more. Perversion is the darker, deadlier, more addictive version of Romeo & Juliet. A story full of violence and danger, yet it's also a story that had me smiling big and laughing out loud. And on top of all of that, it's a story that is clearly far from over. In fact it's a story that's only just begun, and it's a story that completely consumed me from the very first page.
Told in a dual POV and in a past/present scenario where we see young Tristan and Emma Jean, and then older Grim and Tricks, Perversion is a story that'll have and keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end, and you won't want to put it down once you've picked it up. If you love T.M. Frazier and are a fan of her writing, then you will love all she delivers here in Perversion. Or if you're just an overall fan of dark romances - and have no triggers whatsoever (because this story does have triggers, and if you're sensitive to talks and scenes of violence of all kinds, then do go into this book cautiously) - then you will love Grim and Emma Jean, and the beginning of their rollercoaster ride of a forbidden love story here in Perversion.
And WARNING: there is a big cliffhanger here at the end of this book, one that shocked me, one I never saw coming, and one that now has me highly anticipating for the next book of this trilogy, Possession, to come. That ending... What an ending that was!!

T.M. Frazier
