You know you have done something wrong when superstars Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, and Miley Cyrus all unfollow you on Twitter. But that is exactly what has happened to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.

Perez Hilton posted a video of British boy band One Direction's Zayn Malik, 19, allegedly asking a girl to come back to his hotel room in half an hour. Malik, however, has a girlfriend, Perrie Edwards, who was not the girl in the video.

The video was taken by a female who was staying in the same hotel as Malik. Shortly before the video was posted on the gossip site, the One Direction singer deleted his Twitter account, leaving behind five million followers.

"The reason i don't tweet as much as i use to, is because I'm sick of all the useless opinions and hate that i get daily goodbye twitter," he wrote.

"One Direction's Zayn Malik DELETES His Twitter! Called it! I said he'd be the first to leave 1D! This is the beginning (sic)," Hilton tweeted after Malik deleted his account. His tweet caused backlash from One Direction fans.

Now, apparently singers Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, and Miley Cyrus have unfollowed Hilton after his comments about Malik.

Perez Hilton has been a worldwide trending topic for over a day now, due to the video he posted and the unhappiness of One Direction fans who blame Hilton for Malik's disappearance from the site.

"Your friend Lady Gaga left you. The ever sweet Britney Spears unfollowed you. Nobody likes you, @PerezHilton. Exile yourself from humanity," tweeted user @DirectionerDiva.

"Lady Gaga unfollowed Perez Hilton after his tweet to Zayn? YOU GO GAGA !," wrote @antispoonpigeon.At the moment, Perez Hilton seems unfazed by the negative attention.

"Perez Hilton is STILL a worldwide trending topic on Twitter! So cray cray! #Loves," he tweeted yesterday.
