Argentina beat El Salvador in Saturday night's friendly, a game that kicked off in confused controversy when the FedExField stadium played the wrong national anthem.

Instead of playing Himno Nacional de El Salvador, Maryland's FedExField stadium band played Arrane Ashoonagh Vannin, the national anthem of the Isle of Man.

The reaction of the El Salvadorian's is priceless. Some players spot the error instantly and removed their hand from their chest, some try to play it cool and some just look like they didn't even notice.

That being said, the supporters in the stands certainly didn't let the blunder slide as boos and whistles began being heard over the music.

Things didn't get much better on the pitch either, El Salvador eventually losing 2-0 to a weakened Argentina side who left Leo Messi on the bench.

So to the people of El Salvador, here's five things you need to know about the Isle of Man should this incident ever occur again:

  1. Superstitious locals have banned the word 'rat' and instead renamed them a 'longtail' for good luck.

  2. People from the Isle of Man are known as 'Manx'.

  3. Talking of Manx, the Bee Gees were born on the Isle of Man before moving to Manchester, later becoming 'Mancs'.
  4. They have their own breed of cats, 'Manx Cats' - and they have no tail.
  5. They have a Fairy Bridge.

You're welcome!
