Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled

  • ½ cup (1 stick) cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 1 cup whole milk

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 400°F.

  2. In a food processor, combine flour, butter, baking powder, and salt, and then pulse until pea-size clumps form. Add milk and pulse just until moistened.

  3. Drop six large mounds of dough (about ½ cup each) onto a baking sheet, and bake until golden, 18 to 20 minutes.
