 DOLF  DANCEFLOOR THUNDER

When ‘Fuck it All Up’ was released in December 2016, DOLF immediately established himself as a producer of gloriously catchy bass music that contains pop sensibility and dancefloor thunder in equal measures. Over 4 million streams and numerous festival shows later, DOLF released his Nighttime EP this summer at the Barong Family imprent. Followed up with a brand new single co-starring Yellow Claw called “Vertigo”, he opened their Los Amsterdam US-tour in the fall of 2017. After road testing his new material while opening for Yellow Claw in Singapore in the spring, DOLF played shows in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Spain throughout the summer. As much as the Nighttime EP showcased DOLF’s heavy club side, it contained another proper song in the shape of ‘If I Die’, his collaboration with South Korea’s DJ Soda.

WHAT SO NOT  LIMIT AND ORDER

A name synonymous with electronic music culture, What So Not has long served as a figurehead for a new wave of innovative sounds, with Australian DJ and producer Emoh Instead going solo on the project in modern times, having originally started as a double-act with Flume. Catching up with What So Not at the Ninja Tune offices in London, the dynamic and personable star spoke to us about life on the road, the changes dance music has experienced, and his last album ‘Not All The Beautiful Things’.

CAFE DEL MAR (TALE OF US RENAISSANCE REMIX)
ENERGY 52 & TALE OF US
Sometimes the timeless classics shouldn't be touched but every now and then we find a diamond in the rough and here it is! Cafe Del Mar from Energy 52 is up there with the biggest trance tune of all time and with a massive resurgence in the melodic techno scene the Tale of us guys couldn't have crossed journeys at a better time. What really makes this remix a perfect compliment to the original is the way the breakdown, drop and when it all kicks back fall into place! The arrangement has not one drop of water out of place and the track although in  2018 format is reminiscent of the original rave work out, educating another generation of late night dance floor enthusiasts for a brand new summer ahead. DRW 10/10

DR. PACKER'S DIFFERENT STROKES
Presenting his long awaited full-length album, the king of disco re-edits Dr Packer graces Glitterbox Recordings with six brand new mixes alongside twelve of his rare cuts and well-loved treasures. Dr Packer's Different Strokes features Dr Packer versions of soulful house favourites, disco standards and groove-laden floorfillers. The album kicks off with a bonafide classic. Dr Packer's take on Soulsearcher's 'Can't Get Enough!' maintains all its most iconic elements, the euphoric vocals and timeless groove given a fresh-sounding elasticity. Just some of the other highlights include Dr Packer's versions of 'When Love Breaks Down' by The Shapeshifters featuring Teni Tinks and 'Set It Out' from Purple Disco Machine & Boris Dlugosch, both brand new remixes. Dr Packer has done it again ? breathing new life into your most beloved dance records so you can fall in love with them all over again.
RAM  SMALL OR BIG DOESN'T MATTER
Starting of his solo career in 2009, RAM immediately hit the jackpot with the most talked about track of that year “RAMsterdam”. Supported by all the major trance DJ’s it became the Tune of the Year on ASOT and it was pronounced “best track of the year” by Armin van Buuren. The biggest track of RAM since “RAMsterdam” however saw the light in October 2013, but the reason for it to be written was a very sad one. The loss of his beloved wife Amelia was the reason for this track, “RAMelia”, to be in collaboration with vocalist Susana. That won lots of awards world wide and with 8 consecutive plays on A State of Trance, voted Future Favorite with a staggering 61, 9% of the votes (Most votes ever @ ASOT and Armin already calling “RAMelia” an all-time favorite.
MOON BOOTS  NONE OF US SPEAK FRENCH
When Moon Boots hits the booth, he’s got one mission: to give you the best night of your life. Whether playing at iconic clubs like Chicago’s Smart Bar — where he cut his teeth watching legends like Frankie Knuckles and Derrick Carter — or the world’s biggest festival stages, he gives people a release they’ll remember long after the party’s over. After moving back to Brooklyn, Dougherty was introduced to the beloved Anjunadeep crew. His relationship with the label and their artists has flourished, leading to his debut album First Landing (out August 4th.) It’s an album where cavernous club music meshes with classical melodies, warm harmonies, and bright and beloved melodic soundscapes riddled with soul.
 MARK RONSON  SONIC BACKDROP
Mark Ronson has earned both praise and popular success for his throwback, soul- and funk-influenced work with such diverse artists as Ghostface Killah, Amy Winehouse, Boy George, and Bruno Mars. The stepson of guitarist Mick Jones of Foreigner, Ronson spent the first eight years of his life growing up in England. Having played guitar and drums from an early age, it wasn’t until moving to New York City with his mother that he discovered DJ culture. At age 16, and already a fan of such popular hip-hop artists as Run-D.M.C. and the Beastie Boys, Ronson began listening to the various hip-hop mixtapes released by DJs. Inspired, Ronson confiscated his father’s record collection and tried his hand at mixing. It was the first step in a career highlighted by work on a Grammy-winning album by Winehouse, as well as his own global smash hit “Uptown Funk.”
 STEVE VOID  GET OUT 100%
Steve Void, born in The Netherlands as Stef van Vugt, started making music at the age of 15. It didn’t take long after that before he started investing his time in dance music as a fan and as an artist. In 2015, Steve scored his first hit with his adaptation of The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face”, which did over 7 million plays on Soundcloud in the first months alone. He didn’t stop there however, with all of his succeeding releases like his remixes of “Shades of Grey”, “Beat the Sunrise”, his original edit “Stronger” and “Burnin’ ” with Alex Adair, all reaching millions of plays each, totaling over 20 million plays on Soundcloud alone. Late 2016, Steve’s first official release “Chemistry” hit all stores, immediately charting at both Soundcloud and Spotify, followed up in 2017 by hits like “Never Been Better”, “West LA” and “We Won’t Leave You”.
 MARK FANCIULLI  DIET
You might be surprised to learn that Mark Fanciulli only put out his first record in 2011. Such was the reaction to “The Tide,” though, that it was immediately apparent dance music had a new star. Since that debut on Joris Voorn’s influential Rejected label, he has continued to command attention with releases such as “Sacrifice” on Saved and two EP’s on Carl Craig’s Planet E. Inhabiting a creative nether region between house and techno, they are tracks that fill rooms with physical drum lines and lithe synths and never fail to make floors move. And it’s the same when Mark DJs: whether he is playing to thousands in Buenos Aires, enchanting underground crowds at Output in New York or breaking new ground in Singapore, he is a supple selector who reacts to the moment, feeds and teases those front of him and looks outside the norm for his weaponry.
