Close one Ms. Tooth Fairy

Dear Tooth Fairy,

Wow, really? 2 nights in a row you forgot to bring Toby his money? Really? Don't you know how devastating this is to a 6 year old? I thought it was bad the first night you forgot, but the second was just pitiful.

You were really lucky that he came in crying to his Mom at 4:45 in the morning holding up his plastic bag with his little tooth inside whimpering "It's just not fair Mom," and that at that same unthinkable hour his Mom had the wit to think up a way to give you some more time to get your sorry Tooth Fairy butt over here before the real daylight came up. You're really lucky that he believed her when she told him that maybe the Tooth Fairy was still working and that it was still a little dark outside and that he jumped right back in bed with hope that you could still come. You're also really lucky that Toby, whom once a wake can never fall back asleep, actually fell back asleep enough for you to sneak under his pillow and pay up.

I just kept thinking, how could this happen...twice? What kind of woman could do this to such a young, trusting child? I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you have had a lot on your mind lately, maybe you're busy relocating your life or something, or maybe you had long day and shut your mind off as soon as you sat down in front of the t.v. last night.

Just know that if this ever happens again, it's going to cost you a lot more. He's not going to be as forgiving. The extra buck made up for the first night missed-you're lucky.

But you're not a very good Tooth Fairy.

-Toby's Mom

P.S. What do you do with those nasty teeth anyway? Keep them in your underwear drawer so no one finds them? Sick!

Did you think the tooth fairy left you $5 four days late because she was rich?

The tooth fairy at our house has been late MANY times over. True, true...the same tooth fairy you have for sure.
Megan and my Mom kept our teeth in her jewelry box..so that's where mine go. Ziplocks keep the icky contained most of the time. Thanks for making me laugh!!

You are a much better mom than me. My kids request that the tooth fairy leave the tooth so when they wake up and can't find the money I turn my blame around on them and ask "Did you look hard enough?" Followed with a "Fine, I will look" and then a "it was right here, it must have fallen behind the headboard when you were sleeping, you know how you toss and turn at night" see it's always the kids fault!

This was such a funny post! I bet everyone could relate into this. My daughter once told me that she has a tooth fairy. And her tooth fairy was actually the Raleigh sedation dentist. Because of her actually, my daughter is not afraid anymore on going to the dentist. In Raleigh, sedation dentistry is perfect for the kids who are afraid of the pain and who are not comfortable of going to the dentists for great dental care.
