I would like to know if it is possible for the replacement of stone back-wall with wood back-wall to be made impossible. Like, you can't go up to any other block and simply replace it with another. I'm suggesting this because it makes no sense in any context (that I can think of) to replace stone back-wall with the wood. I've seen people replace large amounts of stone back-wall with the wood, and I almost regarded it as an act of griefing because it didn't make any sense other than for mischievous reasons.

The conversion of wood back-wall with the stone should be a one-way street, a permanent upgrade, as far I can tell. I'm just asking (a.) if it is possible to do this and (b.) for one good reason why it shouldn't be done if it is.

To be clear, I'm talking about the ability to instantly overlay, and so replace, back-wall tiles with one version or the other. I'm not talking about removing back-wall and building it back up again.

I've since discovered that wood blocks can be replaced by stone, but not the reverse! This gives me the impression my suggestion may not be practicable since I can't see any other reason why it wouldn't have been implemented from the beginning.

This is definitely something that should be done, while it is indeed a minor thing, it is very annoying, especially as fire spreads through wood back walls, and you cannot replace them quickly to stop the spread of those dastardly flames

Seems like a good, if minor, suggestion to make. Helps stop "grief" and protect from fires.

There is a practice I spot every now and then (not often) of someone very sneakily linking up every wooden structure in his teams base with wooden backwall, and then linking that to a big wooden target on the front of the base for the enemy to shoot. Some people, when they notice a lot of wood that they just must get to see catch fire, will go out of their way to overlay wooden backwall in order to achieve that goal. This kind of griefing is also really hard to spot and expose so anything that can be done mechanically to help prevent it sounds good to me. +1
