Most Popular Productivity Method: The Pomodoro Technique

When it's time to stop talking—or reading—about productivity and get some work done, you have plenty of options to choose from if you're looking for a system that will help you make the best use of your time and energy. Last week we asked you which productivity techniques you turned to when you wanted to get down to business, and then we took a look at the top five, based on your nominations. Now we're back to crown the overall winner.

Voting was tight all weekend, mostly for the top three spots, but the Pomodoro Technique came out on top with 37% of the votes cast, with Getting Things Done (GTD) right behind it in second place with 28%. In third place was a hybrid or custom productivity technique, one that you said combined elements of the others or that you had built to suit your workflow. In fourth place was Seinfeld's Productivity Secret, also known as "Don't Break the Chain," with 11% of the vote, and bringing up the rear was The Action Method, with just under 2% of the overall vote.
