How to Download Audacity and LAME and the  FFmpeg in 3 easy steps!

Some hints to get started:

• If you use SourceForge, you will get less “junk”
• When loading on your laptop, check space in your C drive. If you have lots of room there, just follow default downloading (click next, next, ...finish).
• If drive is full, create file in D drive, create folder for Audacity and place all 3 download there.
• If running program on a desktop, you will need an external mic and will need to check mic settings

1. Go to :    http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/windows

Should look like this. Left click  the top link to download for Windows.

Program will open after download. Close it before next download.

2. Next, you need to download the LAME: http://lame1.buanzo.com.ar/

You will also download the extra codec and such from this site too.

When you see these two links, that’s what you need.

Just LEFT CLICK to download.

3. Last download: The “FFmpeg”. This  file will take a little longer than the others to download.
