Dear Parent/Carers

As part of our topic on water, Year 3 are planning an educational visit to Hartlepool Historic Quay on Tuesday 20th February 2018.  We plan to leave school at 9.15am to arrive at Hartlepool at 10am.  We will work with the guides there to explore the sight and have a really fun day.  We will be back for end of school day (3.20pm) depending on traffic.

All children will need a packed lunch, with a drink that has a sports top, so they can use it all day.  If your child receives a free school meal a packed lunch will be provided.

As it is near the sea it is very cold so children will need to wear warm clothes NOT UNIFORM and a waterproof coat.  It would also be good to have a hat, scarf and gloves. Please wear sensible waterproof shoes.

To cover the cost of the coach and the entrance fee we need to ask for a contribution of £8.00. Contributions are greatly appreciated and should be paid via the school payment postbox.  

If you would like to accompany us and help on this visit, please indicate below.  Unfortunately, due to the current financial situation, we will have to ask parents to pay for the cost of their own entry which is £8.00 to be paid on the day.  There are a limited number of seats on the coach so names may be 'drawn from a hat' if we have a number of volunteers.  Parents may also be able to accompany the trip in their own vehicle.  We will contact parents if they are needed as helpers.
