MONROVIA – Police are looking for the man who committed a lewd act in public earlier this week.

It happened at 10:53 p.m. Wednesday at a shopping center in the 100 block of West Foothill Boulevard.

Sgt. Glen Coleman said a woman was sitting on a bench in front of a laundromat when a man approached her and performed the lewd act.

The woman yelled at the suspect and said she’ll call the police, Coleman said.

The man left.

The suspect was described as a black man in his early 20s with a clean cut appearance, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 220 pounds. He wore a white T-shirt and dark yellow pants.

Anyone with information on the case or the suspect is asked to call Detective Wendy Contreras at the Monrovia Police Department, 626-256-8000.
