WWE taped 4 episodes of NXT TV for the rest of July and mid-August.
Samoa Joe debut a new theme song at the tapings, a super heavyweight (265 lbs+) feud between Samoa Joe & Baron Corbin started, Jushin Liger’s first ever WWE match announcement was made & former TNA wrestler Jesse Sorenson worked the tapings. Below are the results from the tapings:
Episode 1 (Airing date: July 22)
* Finn Balor promo. He talks about winning the NXT Championship at Beast in the East.
* Eva Marie def. KC Cassidy
* Baron Corbin wins a squash match.
* Samoa Joe def. Mike Rallis
* Bayley def. Emma. In a post match promo, Bayley said she wants a match against Charlotte.
* The Vaudevillians def. Angelo Dawkins and Sawyer Fulton
* Contract Signing segment for Finn Balor vs. Kevin Owens NXT Title match at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn. Owens knocked William Regal down. A fight broke out between Balor & Owens in which Balor got the upperhand.
Episode 2 (Airing date: July 29)
* Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder def. Enzo Amore and Big Cass
* Baron Corbin wins a squash match.
* Chad Gable and Jason Jordan def. Elias Samson and Manny Garcia
* Charlotte def. Dana Brooke
* Kevin Owens defeats a new wrestler. He hits an apron powerbomb after the match.
* Blake and Murphy defeated The Vaudevillians
Episode 3 (Airing date: August 5)
* Bayley def. Charlotte
* Baron Corbin wins yet another squash match.
* Tyler Breeze defeats a new wrestler
* Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley def. Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder. The Mechanics beat up The Hype Bros after the match.
* Samoa Joe def. Rhyno
Episode 4 (Airing date: August 12)
* Tye Dillinger def. Solomon Crowe
* Baron Corbin wins his 4th squash match of the night. Samoa Joe came out and challenged Corbin to a match but he refused. The two super heavyweights ended up brawling.
* NXT Champion Finn Balor def. Marcus Louis. Former Champion Kevin Owens attacks Balor after the match and poses with the title.
* Bayley def. Becky Lynch to become the #1 Contender for the NXT Women’s Championship.
