Sigh..... Something about a 12hr later bump not being a translation screams disappointment.

(before reading the letter)
I could see that Ultima/Omega/Whatever looking thing to be Garlean made actually. A reply from the Empire to Bahamut.
Elder Primal Bahamut gets released, terrorizes everyone, including the Empire. Empire goes back home, spends 5 years coming up with a new plan of attack, come up with monstrous and extremely powerful Weapon to use against Bahamut and for some reason we get involved to take it down first. Probably because it would end up wiping out ALOT of Eorzea if its allowed to actually fight Bahamut.
I could see that.
And I'm wondering, actually, if the Crystal Tower is going to do something like.. put us against memories of past battles.
If certain levels of the Tower wont be accessible until you've cleared certain battle content and so when you do get into the tower again, you fight the boss you've already defeated once before, but much, much more powerful than he was before. That would be something SE would do. Since the CT is an optional dungeon and not a storyline specific thing (assumingly anyways). They wont make Storyline bosses extremely hard that you cant get past them within a reasonable time frame and party set up, so that more people can enjoy it and have progress. But the CT is totally optional, designed to give high end players something to do for achievements and loot. So maybe we'll face off with an Ultima Weapon in a storyline mission and face off instead against an Omega Weapon in the CT.. if they go that route.

Tried to proof read and fix up before posting this time...25 Years ago, today, on December 18th, 1987 the first FINAL FANTASY was born. At that time I was 14 years old. I still clearly remember that day, I bought the game on the release date and played hard without sleep. I have never imagined at that time that I am here today commenting on the 25th anniversary. I am very happy and proud at the same time.
For myself, the part I could still not forget about FINAL FANTASY is something pretty common, but the opening scene which comes up while playing FF1. There are many games out now, they have different methods to do the openings, but back then, at that time, this opening scene which resembled like a real movie opening touched me greatly.
Since then 25 years has passed, being a game developer until now I wasn’t involved with FF series. I really have never predicted that I was going to lead the newest FF series title. I am really honored and I cannot express enough in words.
FF series are loved by many people, I believe it’s a title which brought the ‘first impact’ to each individual players. The impression from FF1, the entertainment and difficulty of FF3, the huge impact from FF7, these games brought unique experiences to each individual players.
Since FF series were born it has been 25 years.
FINAL FANTASY is not only something we have built, it is now everyones Final Fantasy.
To deliver those thoughts and dreams I would like to continue making a product with everyone together.
I wish to see all you players in FF14’s world “Eorzea”
