There are 3 routes to hike.
I took the shortest/fastest route which was around 6hrs+ to hike up and down, which of course does not lead me to the peak of the mountain. If you wanna reach the peak of the mountain you would have to take the longer route which is 12 hours or more, I won't recommend if you have 0 experience in hiking. The shortest route is good enough:)
Pros
- Absolutely STUNNING once you have reached the top, if only I can share the video I took at the peak.
- Good form of exercising haha
Cons
- Very tiring. I took the shortest route but I was dying at the end of the day.
- You will get sunburns, mosquito bites and all sort of insects including snakes (don't go if you are scared)
Note: Please make sure you wear proper attire and shoes (running shoes or tracking shoes. Actually trekking shoes are preferred, some parts of the tracks are pretty rocky)
FOOD & WATER.
- They have a stopover hut at the middle once you have completed hiking up, but they only serve cup noodles. I recommend you to bring bananas, kimbap, bread or whatever that gives you fuel. The hike is tiring!
- There are 1 or 2 water stations located in the route but I wasnt able to find them.
You can find a toilet near the stopover hut however, I literally had to hold my breath even before I stepped in. I can never forget that experience, the smell was really bad. You can't help it when you really need the loo..
