Mothers of Bedford follows five women incarcerated in Westchester County at Bedford Hill's Correctional Facility. These women are trying to maintain strong relationships with their children, nurture them and play central roles in their lives despite living behind bars. They are supported by an innovative children's center that creates a space for positive change in the least likely of settings: prison.
Like the Bedford children's center, FSW's EMERGE and Fathers Count programs provide vital resources to incarcerated and recently released mothers and fathers through parenting workshops and employment readiness training.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring FSW speakers including:
- Fern Davis, EMERGE participant
- Janet Donat, EMERGE Director
- Caroline Walcott, FSW Program Director
