A1.8 textures implemented, including:

Classic CTM for smooth igneous stone,

New, animated texture for the brewing stands.

New red velvet cake texture.

Added the sprites for the new fish.

Added the sprites for the dark oak and acacia saplings.

Redesign of the end crystal texture.

New sounds for the enderdragon.

'1.7 and Assorted'

All 1.7 textures implemented.

Gradient for foilage, grass, and sky changed to accomodate new biomes. New colors inside.

Changed hardened clay to more subtle, natural looking colors in order for mesa biomes to look nice.

Colored glass resembles stained glass.

New, randomized, ore textures for coal, iron, and lapis lazuli.

Moon phases made to incorporate different colors. The new moon is now a blue moon.

New sapling textures.

Numerous new textures for wooden objects.

New bark textures for spruce and jungle wood.

Daylight detectors changed from spruce to dark oak.

Birch wood changed to be a bit more blonde.

Somewhat deeper color for normal sand and sandstone, to better blend in with certain biomes.

Very slight change to the grass texture to make it a bit sharper in detail.

Changed portal texture to be lower contrast: flickering is more subtle.

Small change to the trading UI so unavailable options are more obvious.

Arbitrarily renamed the sound folder to 'sounds'.

Repeat CTM for dirt temporarily disabled in order to accommodate a conflict with podzol textures.

New minecraft logo, based on the typeface used for Xenocontendi.

TNT texture is now smoother.

Gold block pallet change.

Lapis block has been changed so the calcite less resembles the highlights on gem and gold blocks.

Birch leaves changed to autumn color. Welcome back to the autumnic age.

Foilage and Grass gradients smoothed out more; mountain biomes have lighter grass.

Sky color changes with certain biomes.

Custom font may have kerning issues. This can be amended by using Optifine. Modloader probably corrects the problem as well.

'More Options and Fixes'

Iron armor is now cast iron, with a new design.

Enderpearls have a nicer sprite.

The compass is now cast iron.

Buckets are now cast iron.

New refined/steel armor available in the customizer.

Cast iron tools are now available.

Iron doors now have windowed options available in the customizer.

Rails have had their shading fixed.

Bottles of enchantment have a new texture.

Fishing rods changed to fit the fishing line; reel is rounder.

Iron bars are now darker, to better blend in with blocks.

The clay icon has been fixed so it's the same tone of red as the block.

Fully compatible with 1.4.6;

Fireworks sprites and particles added.

Enchanted book sprite added.

All iron items have both cast and refined iron versions in the customizer.

Many alternate versions of the wood plank types have been added.

The Variation of torch, with lit end, added.

Variation of trap door, with holes, added.

New plank textures; much more aesthetically pleasing.

All iron blocks and related sprites now have the appearance of cast iron.

Metal tools and armor retain their shiny appearance

There are now metal or gem caps on the ends of axes and pickaxes.

Redstone lamps now have a greater contrast between on and off.

Fixed an error with the end portal textures.

Random mobs for squids, spiders, slimes, cubes, pigs, sheep, and blazes added.

Animated water!

Animated furnace!

Proper explosion animation!

'Dead' sapling made a little more vibrant in color; same pallet as wheat.

Logs now have a dark gradient overlay to make them look rounded and much more suitable for the horizontal log placement.

Background for the menus like statistics, servers, and languages changed.

Gems on the emerald texture lowered in count.

Clouds changed to blend in better with the sky.
