CC has a degree in business, and has developed a liking for experimental design, but her role as a writer resonates who she is.

Unlike most authors, her joy of reading came later in life, and when it did, it was as if she'd been put under a spell to devour books. Then she started getting images in her head, fussy little images that wouldn't go away, especially at night. It wasn't until they started to drive her stir-crazy that she finally realized her desire to read had evolved into something else.

However, at first, she wanted to blast the images to kingdom come so she could get a little sleep--but thankfully she couldn't. Soon she had a whim to pick up a pen.

The Ferret Books series, I really enjoyed these books, beginning with young Pia Wade and her undying quest to find out what happened the night she went missing, then mounting to a shocking revelation as the story progresses.

With so many distractions in life, I read these books back-to-back over a period of two months. And I must say, CC Wyatt has a bold vividness to her writing style, delivering a powerful view of self, and what you believe in, and how you may see your spiritual self in Pia Wade, as she uncovered things we have at some point (me often) wondered about ourselves.

The mystery in Pia’s quest is raw and wondrous, the catalyst that kept me turning the pages.

Pia's faith, or destiny, is the engine that drives the story; that even she's astounded when she uncovers the true story behind her story.

In only a few words: This is a remarkable read that came to a remarkable end, and though I am satisfied with the ending, I am rooting for a new chapter.

There is so much to appreciate in this series. An unpredictable plot. The mystery and suspense. And the sporty side of how it's delivered, literally. This series would make a great movie.

My suggestion. Just read Perseaus...better yet, the series.

I'll be honest I entered the Goodreads giveaway for this book because I love Ferrets. SO when I won, I thought this would be fun and that this Ferret person might actually turn into a ferret. This didn't happen. Being a sequel, I was already lost. The author did not take time to truly6 explain the first book. There is always a fine line between explaining for people who might pick up mid-series and existing readers but the author doesn't approach this line other than to say, in the first book, Pia was trapped on an island and has come home.
As the plot sets out, someone is suddenly in a coma, Pia is having visions again and there is a big skating contest. Page after pages of questions pop up and nothing is clearly even explained. I didn't even understand what really happened in the book or how it propels the story.
The epilogue was the best part of the book and the most intriguing. Finally, I wanted to know what happened next.

What a Ride!

Perseaus was an exciting rollercoaster to places I've never dreamed of. While starting with the second book in a series isn't optimal, there was more than ample backstory littered throughout to glean what brought the characters to where they are today. Subtle clues of precognition and deja vu hinted at where I thought the book was taking me - and then I turned the page and discovered I couldn't be further from the truth. This book is part fantasy, part mystery, mixed in with a sweet reliance on Faith and the human spirit. I can't wait to look back at the first of the Ferret books to see what I've missed.

Perseaus is the second book I the Ferret series, and no less intriguing and entertaining than the first one. I this book, we get to glimpse the reasons why strange things happen to Pia, our young protagonist, who sifted from strange visions and premonitions.
As in the first book, the characters are well described, diving into their inner worlds so wet can see the world through their eyes.
It has been a very enjoyable read.
