The region is famous for its well preserved local culture which can be seen especially during the summer time when the four big Tohoku Festivals take place. DAY 1: SENDAI

Kakunodate: A former castle town famous for its samurai tradition and its hundreds of weeping cherry trees during the spring time.

DAY 2: SENDAI> LAKE TAZAWA 3hrs

Lake Tazawa: A scenic caldera lake that has not been overly developed and retains a beautiful natural and rustic atmo sphere.

DAY 3: LAKE TAZAWA > OIRASE VALLEY> AOMORI 4.Shrs

Oirase Valley: Acclaimed as one of the most beautiful river valleys in Japan , if not the most beautiful!

Aomori: Famous for its summer festival , Nebuta Matsuri, Aomori is a vibrant and charming city with a rich history.

DAY 4: AOMORI> OGA PENINSULA> AKITA 3.Shrs

Hirosaki: The city remains one of the culturally richest cities in the northern Tohoku Region.
Shirakami-sanchi: An extensive mountain range between Aomori and Akita prefectures .
Akita: Situated in the north-west of Japan near Aomori, Akita is known for Akita breed of dogs , onsen hot springs, delicious local foods and fine sake.

DAY 5: AKITA> SENDAI 3hrs

Geibikei Gorge: A spectacular gorge with pleasant natural scenery and impressive, tall cliffs and rock formations .
Chusonji Temple: A Buddhist temple founded over one thousand years ago in the town of Hiraizumi (UNESCO World Heritage Site) .

A valid International driver’s license is required to drive in Japan. Petrol, toll charges and parking fees are not included in tour prices.
