Introducing the Hiking with Dogs – Ruffwear Monthly Photo Contest
Let’s select our top Hiking with Dogs picture of the Month. Ruffwear has generously offered to provide a prize for the monthly winner. For the month of September, the winner will receive a Ruffwear Lunker toy!

Contest Details
- Post your hiking photo to the Hiking with Dogs wall
- 3 days before the end of the month, we will create an album containing the nominated photos. Monthly Contest Committee will nominate the pictures based on high number of likes, quality of pictures, and how they represent the mission of this group.
- Voting begins immediately and the picture that has the most likes will be the winner. The voting will close on the last day of the month at 5pm PST
- In the event of tie, the Monthly Contest Committee will cast the tie breaking vote
- Since this is a public group, people from outside the group can and will be encouraged to vote
- Only one picture per member can enter on any given month, and the picture must be the original taken by the member
- Past winners will not be eligible to re-enter for the rest of the calendar year
- The Monthly Contest Committee will contact the winner and arrange to mail the prize
- Prizes can only be shipped to addresses within the US and Canada. International contestants can still win the bragging rights!

The Monthly Contest Committee members are Miriam Hughes, Ichiro Kubota, and Jody Sider. Please feel free to PM or tag us with your questions about the contest. Committee members and their pups are not eligible for nomination and will abstain from voting to protect the integrity of the contest.Feel free to share the album on your personal page and ask your friends and family to vote for their favorites! If you share a single photo, the “like” on the shared post will not count as vote. To avoid confusion we encourage sharing the whole post, album, or link to the album instead. If you are a member of other hiking, dogs, or picture related groups, we encourage you to share the contest album there as well. Please be courteous to the cross-posting policy of that group when you do so.
Be sure to like your favorite photos, you never know when your pup could be a monthly contestant.
