Most Popular Sleep Tracking Gadget or App: Sleep Cycle

We could all use a better night's sleep, and getting more sleep doesn't always mean you're getting better sleep. That's where these sleep tracking gadgets and tools come in: they watch your sleep cycle, wake you at the best time for a smooth start, and even can pin down issues that may be disrupting your sleep at night. Last week, we asked you which sleep tracking gadgets were the best. Then we took your nominations and featured the five best sleep tracking apps or gadgets. Now we're back to highlight the overall winner.

Sleep Cycle, the extremely popular iOS sleep tracker plus alarm clock, took the top spot with just over 39% of the overall vote.

Behind it in second place with close to 18% of the vote was Android sleep and lifestyle tracker Sleepbot. Just behind it in third place was one of the first (and still one of the best) sleep tracking apps for Android, Sleep As Android, with over 16% of the votes cast. Hot on its heels with just shy of 16% was the FitBit One sleep and activity tracking gadget, and bringing up the rear was the Jawbone Up, with over 10% of the vote.

The Hive Five is based on reader nominations. As with most Hive Five posts, if your favorite was left out, it's not because we hate it—it's because it didn't get the nominations required in the call for contenders post to make the top five. We understand it's a bit of a popularity contest, but if you have a favorite, we want to hear about it. Have a suggestion for the Hive Five? Send us an email at [email protected]!
