TAYLORSVILLE, Utah -  Students from eight elementary schools were at a pep rally at Taylorsville High School Thursday to see what they might be doing in high school.

5- and 6-year-old kindergartners who make up the Class of 2025 got to see dance teams, cheerleaders, choirs and other activities they get to consider when they head to high school in another decade.

"We saw the cheerleaders. And that's always fun to see the energy and the excitement. And then we have dancers. Then watching the choir. Music," said Preston Hughes, class of 2013. "The different things you can do in school is really great."

Not all of the kindergartners understood what "graduate" means, but they organizers say events like this make an impression.

"Did everyone walk away and get it? I don't think so. But I think it made an impression and planted that seed that when they drive past that big building they will remember they were in that building. I think it's a good memory for them," said Michelle Love-Day, Taylorsville Elementary principal.
