Honda Jazz Car Booking

Honda Car India will launch the much-awaited new Jazz hatchback in the country on July 8, 2015. Ahead of its launch, Honda dealers have started taking pre-orders for the new Jazz at a token amount of INR 21,000. The company has already started teasing the hatchback through its official social media pages and website.

Unlike the previous model; the new Jazz will be made available in both petrol and diesel fuel options. While the petrol version will get a 1.2-litre i-VTEC unit producing 87bhp, the oil burner will be a 1.5-litre i-DTEC motor that is good for 99bhp and 200Nm of torque. While the petrol engine will be paired to either five-speed manual gearbox or a CVT transmission, the diesel-powered Jazz will get a five-speed or a six-speed manual.

If reports are to be believed, Honda could also equip the new Jazz with a more powerful 1.5-litre i-VTEC motor that powers the City and the Mobilio. This engine churns out 117bhp of power, and is paired to either a five-speed manual or a CVT transmission.

Based on Honda's 'Exciting H Design', the new generation hatchback looks sportier than the previous car. The front fascia features new chrome grille, horizontally stretched headlamps and all-new bumper with larger air-intake. On sides, the car features aggressive floating lines, newly styled alloy wheels, body coloured door handles and ORVMs.

The new Jazz will share its interior components with the City sedan. Based on Honda's "Man Maximum Machine Minimum", the hatchback offers spacious cabin to accommodate five adults comfortably. It is equipped with a touchscreen Media NAV system, steering mounted controls, a Bluetooth-enabled music system, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, and fabric upholstery for seats. On safety front, the hatchback gets dual airbags, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic BrakeForce Distribution), fog lamps, engine immobilizer, etc.
