Senate kills big House-passed tax bill by unanimous consent

By unanimous consent, the Senate has just agreed to return HB 311, the big House-passed tax bill, to the Senate Transportation Committee to die. “It appears that the majority of the Idaho Senate is not inclined to or will support the legislation,” Senate Majority Leader Bart Davis, R-Idaho Falls, announced. “It will not be reconsidered this session.”

He said the move was designed to “shift the focus to other transportation solutions.”
