UPDATE – Attempted robbery with violence charges, Rockhampton

Police have charged a woman after an alleged assault and attempted robbery in Rockhampton on Monday.

Around 7.15pm a 48-year-old woman was sitting in a car on Campbell Street when a female offender allegedly opened her door, pulled her from the vehicle and assaulted her with a chisel tool.

A 48-year-old woman suffered non-life threatening lacerations to her head and face.

A 27-year-old Depot Hill woman was charged with one count each of robbery whilst armed and assault occasioning bodily harm. She is due to appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court today.
