Music is never static; every musical genre is a fusion and blend of multiple music styles from different times and cultures. Two very different cultural music styles are Spanish and Cuban music. They each have long historic roots from different cultures and yet have also influenced each other over the last few hundred years. FlamenCubana brings together leading figures of contemporary Spanish Flamenco, joined with the one of today's top Cuban music groups. World-renowned Spanish artists, bailaora Pastora Galván, guitarist Antón Jimenez, and Pianist Rosario Montoya share the stage with El Grupo Cubano Brisas del Palmar and singer-cantaora Jafelin. They are part of a cast of 12 international musicians who create an unforgettable evening. A journey showcasing the rich music that has resulted from centuries of Latin American and Spanish contact; from boleros, salsa, and rumba to traditional, jazz and pop Flamenco.
