AWS Technical Deep-Dive Day | Israel | Jul-20 2015

This is a technical event (300-400 Technical Session Level) relevant for Engineers, Developers, System Administrators and Solution Architects who want to deepen their understanding of the AWS Cloud.

Attend this free one day event in Tel Aviv, which will include technical sessions, practical demonstrations, and open discussion regarding the latest service and product updates.

08:30-09:30 - Breakfast & Registration, Meet a Solutions Architect

09:30-12:00 - Developing Web & Mobile Applications

• In this session we will discuss and demonstrate various services that can be used to develop mobile & web applications with scalable, highly available and fully managed backend services. We will specifically focus on Amazon Lambda, Amazon Cognito, Amazon Kinesis and the recently launched Amazon API Gateway.

12:00-13:00 - Lunch & Meet a Solutions Architect

13:00-15:00 - Leveraging Next Generation IT

• In this session we will focus on some of the services that make it easy to run and operate traditionally complex IT workloads. We will explore Amazon Elastic File System (EFS), Amazon Redshift, Amazon Machine Learning (Amazon ML) and Amazon Container Service (ECS).
  

15:00-15:30 - Coffee Break & Meet a Solutions Architect

15:30-17:00 - DevOps on AWS

• In this session we will focus on two important DevOps practices – Cost Optimization and Continuous Delivery. We will explore how Spot Fleets assist in managing Spot Instances that can help reduce operational costs. We will discuss the different reservation models and best practices for managing these reservations. We will also demonstrate some of the tools that assist with analyzing, budgeting and forecasting costs. We will conclude with implementing a DevOps pipeline using CodeCommit, CodeDeploy and CodePipeline and demonstrate how to test mobile applications on real devices using the recently launched AWS Device Farm.

In addition, take advantage of ‘Bring Your Own Project’ office hours to get free 1:1 deep technical guidance from our AWS experts who will be available during the day. Please bring your architectural diagrams for the team to review (15 minutes allocated per attendee).
