OHCHR Releases “Human Rights Indicators” Publication
Human Rights Indicators: A Guide to Measurement and Implementation, published by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, provides state governments with a framework in developing quantitative and qualitative measurements of progress toward implementing international human rights norms and principles.
In light of the nearing 2015 endpoint for the UN’s Millennium Development Goals initiative, the UN Human Rights Office has been working with a special task force on setting forth ways to evaluate progress made toward the MDG’s. This guide also acts as a framework for evaluating the effectiveness of 15 years of action toward the eight MDG’s and determining the post-2015 development agenda.
Human Rights Indicators is available for free download in English, French and Spanish.
