Sounds like an underwater themed game. I hope it's multiplat at east because I'd like to check it out once we see what it's all about.

I assume the downvotes are because you want it to be multiplat? I agree with your statement as I'd like to play it on PC. If I was to guess I'd take a stab at it being a downloadable title.

Most likely. Some here probably think Insomniac belong to Sony when really they aren't and have more or less wanted to do their own things for a while now, it's why they went to MS with SO since Sony wanted the rights to the IP and Ins wanted to keep them and own their own game, can't blame a dev/studio for wanting to keep and produce what they make. Besides that I think it's good of them to reach out a bit more in terms of platforms than simply being stuck to one and it's becoming clear that they want to over time.

@TheGreatGamerGod (haha this comment can't be reported now)
Nah, I think the reason lies by chazore himself (for reasons I can't imagine) and not by he comment he made (in my humble opinion)
how many downvotes did he had?

The naughty dog rival is back!

They never left?.

They had a few years were what they made was decidedly mediocre and dissapointing, which in this context I guess qualifies as leaving.

Weird, I always saw them being here the whole time, maybe not to my liking but I knew where they were.

They had the period with Fuse, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One (a weird, multiplayer centric spinoff that wasn't really well received by fans nor critics alike) and Ratchet & Clank Qforce, another spinoff that was pretty meh.

Imo though, they were back in the end of 2013, when they released Into The Nexus which proved they still had that magic they used to, and Sunset Overdrive was great too, and their current projects (both R&C and Edge of Nowhere) look awesome.

But as an Insomniac fan, I can deffinitely see what he means, because there was a short time where I worried if Insomniac had lost what made them great.

I didn't mind the look of their spin-offs tbh, I can get some fans feel that they are going off the deep end but I personally don't see them going anywhere as deep as other studios have done before (the ones that are still bad or have gone extinct due to their actions). Looking forward to their announcement though.

It wasn't really the look of them as muxh as it was a forced and mediocre multiplayer spinoff, that ditched most of what made the franchise great to begin with. In fact I think they did a far better job at the co-op in Qforce than in All 4 One, because Qforce retained the feel of Ratchet & Clank, despite it being multiplayer. All 4 One altered the gameplay to such a degree that it hardly felt the same, and while that's not bad in itself, you aren't doing yourself any favours when you switch out something great with something mediocre.

I can relate to that to a degree, I mean when it comes to the RTS genre a lot more devs are opting for a CIv or Total War like approach than going for the standard C&C/AoE approach, that kind of change is accepted by some but then you have others like me who simply don't buy into that kind of change, I can imagine some bought into those changes they once made to R&C and then changed back.

I know there were a few who appreciated that they could play R&C with multiplayer, but generally, from what I've seen around the interwebz, fans agree that those spin-offs are the low point of the franchise.

There will always be a high and low point for nearly every game out there but that's pretty much passed the point for that with R&C. Apart from that Ins will always be right where they are doing what they do.

Yeah but as far as being up there with the best devs (though personally I prefer Insomniac to Naughty Dog lol), in the period between 2009 and 2013, they just weren't. :-3

Either way, we can agree that they are up there now, which is the most important thing I guess.

Well would you look at that, we agreed on something, sorta :-o

lol You could say that.

Though no studio/dev is ever perfect, it should be natural to expect mistakes to be made since we learn from them and aspire to do better.

I don't know if rival is the word I'd use. Closer to a step brother really

Of course, it'll come to Playstation. Insomniac won't make that mistake again :P

On second thought, this may be another PC game...The graphics are weirding me out.

Another PC game?, what makes you think that?.

Insomniac didn't make a mistake with SO because Sony wanted to own Ins's IP and Ins wanted to keep their own game and it's their design, they went to MS who then supported them while also allowing Ins to keep their own game which Sony didn't allow for. Insomniac are also branching out to other platforms doing what they want to do and I think that's a good thing, for them and all of us.

@chaz

Why did someone dislike you?

I didn't even notice, then again the only time I check back on this is when the forum notifies me that someone replied to a comment I made. It wouldn't surprise me though, I get downvoted quite a bit for speaking differently on articles plenty of times.

Just be on PS4 so I can play it, if I decide it's worth playing.

I am intrigued! The artstyle of the teaser reminded me of Ori. Wonder if that means anything for the game? :-3
