If you feel like you and your partner are in desperate need of alone time, you're probably right! And nothing's more romantic than a weekend away with your love — especially when we've picked the coziest B&B's, restaurants, and activities for you to enjoy together. Choose a destination, pack your bag, and reignite your relationship. We won't blame you if you never want to come home.

Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts

Nothing says romance like the island of Martha's Vineyard. The cozy colony is usually a summer destination, but come fall it's more quiet and affordable (talk about a win-win). Lay your head down at the Mansion House Inn for a luxury stay by the wharf or rent one of the famous gingerbread cottages. Make sure your agenda includes a visit to the historic Martha's Vineyard Playhouse or a relaxing afternoon at Mytoi, the 14-acre Japanese garden. And for dinner, grab a table at State Road, an upscale tavern serving locally sourced food from nearby farmers, fisherman, and food artisans.

Destination Niagra USA

Once known as the Honeymoon Capital of the World, Niagara Falls still doesn't skimp on the romance. You can take in views of the Falls on a sweet stroll, or get your adrenaline pumping on an impossibly fun Niagara Jet Adventures boat ride. Once you've dried off, hit the wine trails (you can't go wrong with Victorianbourg, Black Willow or Schulze) or, if beer is more your thing, have a craft bev and a slice of beef on weck pizza at Woodcock Bros Brewing. For dinner, grab a bite at Savor, then turn in at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino if gambling or a live rock band makes you feel lusty.

Seattle, Washington

Seattle is the perfect destination for couples who love the outdoors. The city is surrounded by water and is home to thousands of parkland acres. Take a crisp autumn stroll through Parsons Gardens or spend time watching the sunset at Discovery Park. Then heat up your night with dinner and a show at The Pink Door — known for its delicious Italian food and unforgettable burlesque acts. And, of course, you can't forget to visit the famous Space Needle for a breathtaking view of the city!

This capital city is home of the US Naval Academy — and also the hidden gem of romantic getaways. The city boasts some of the most beautiful views of the Chesapeake Bay and unbeatable seafood year-round. Visit Cantler's Riverside Inn for freshly steamed crabs, smothered in Maryland's best Old Bay, or take a stroll along City Dock for some shopping and an afternoon sailing. Stay at the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel, which offers water views and a romance package for couples looking for a little extra TLC on their weekend getaway.

Washington, D.C.

Take your significant other on a trip to the nation's capital for a weekend of sightseeing, history, and romance during the best season to visit. Go on a twilight tour of the city, making stops at the National WWII Memorial, Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, and the Tidal Basin. For dinner, visit one of D.C's landmark restaurants like Ben's Chili Bowl or Founding Farmer's for a community feel. For something more upscale and secluded, take a trip to the Michelin star Plume restaurant located in The Jefferson, one of D.C's boutique hotels.

Cayman Islands

In denial about the end of summer? Spring for a little extra romance with a spontaneous trip to the Cayman Islands. Whether you choose to swim with the dolphins or visit the crystal caves, this Caribbean paradise is filled with tons of memory-making opportunities. Stay along the famous Seven Mile Beach in a quaint bed and breakfast or upgrade your visit with accommodations at the luxury Ritz-Carlton. While on vacation, make sure you try a few Caymanian dishes too — like the conch fritters from the Eastern Star Bar and Fish Fry or Johnny Cakes from the Cracked Conch.

It may be the city of brotherly love, but we're just going to focus on the love part for our purposes. Not only can you rev your romance to new levels by ice skating at the Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest, where a ski-style lodge, winter garden, and heated tent pop-up alongside the Delaware River waterfront, but you can make your way to Harp & Crown after for brunch and bowling at a speakeasy-style alley. Wind down the night at The Westin in the heart of Center City where you can enjoy a bubble bath for two or a burn some calories on your private Peloton bike if you're so inclined. No workout gear? No problem. Simply ask reception for a New Balance loaner. To find a bit of serenity in the urban oasis, opt for a couples massage at the nearby Ritz-Carlton and then hang around for some champers in the stunning lobby. Oh, and don't forget to take a photo at LOVE Park, because, hey, when in Philly.

If you're a couple looking for a good time, there's no better place to dance the night away than on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter. Start the night at Bourbon "O" for cocktails, craft beer, and live music. Once you've had enough libations, and you're looking to take the elegance up a notch, retire to a room at the Ritz-Carlton which is close to the center of everything, but far enough from the fray that you won't hear any late night revelers when you're sleeping in one of their super cushy beds. For a nibble that'll make you feel like old NOLA royalty, try the hotel's M Bistro.

Woodstock, Vermont

Nothing says romance quite like a weekend of sipping bourbon by the fire and time spent at a spa that leaves you smelling like a peppermint candy cane. Enter Vermont's historic Woodstock Inn, where guests can also enjoy some seriously fine dining at one of their dynamite restaurants. Play a round of backgammon in a room so cozy you'll want to move in or compete in the game room. There are also endless hiking trails, bikes to borrow, falconry lessons, and nearby Billings Farm. Or you can just stay in bed. That's heavenly, too.

The perfect trip for history buffs or any couple just trying to soak up New England charm without having to drive far from a major airport. Go for a stroll along the Freedom Trail or if you like to take your sites sitting down, the duck tours are always delightful. Then share a chowder at Island Creek Oyster Bar and take in a Red Sox game. Not a fan of rowdy crowds? Hotel Commonwealth, conveniently situated in Kenmore Square, offers a Fenway Park Suite with views of the stadium so you can sip your Sam Adams without having to leave your cozy room.

Catch a game at Doubleday Field and schedule a walk-through of the National Baseball Hall of Fame — those are cultural staples when visiting this upstate New York town. But once you're done with that, ramp up the romance with apple picking at Middlefield Orchard, beer tasting at Brewery Ommegang, or canoeing à la The Notebook on Lake Otsego. Settle into a room at the 106-year-old Otesaga Resort Hotel, where you can enjoy lakefront views that seem straight out of a 19th-century painting (with plenty of autumn leaf-peeping to boot), while nestled into a rocking chair on the veranda. A glass of wine in hand is totally optional, but, hey, you're on vacation.

Barbados

Whether your idea of romance is paddle boarding with turtles together, or kicking back on the beach with a wine slushie (or three), Barbados offers everything for adventure seekers and couples that need to just chill out. Stay at Port Ferdinand located on the island's only luxury marina. Rekindle your early day flirtations with some friendly competition over a game of polo, or enjoy the property's luxe spa.

Travel two hours south and you'll find yourself in the cozy Catskill mountains. Check in at the Ecce Bed & Breakfast in Barryville perched on a bluff 300 feet above the Upper Delaware River with panoramic views (what's more romantic than that?). Cuddle up by the fire in the common guest area or check out the views on the deck, then head into nearby Narrowsburg for brunch at The Heron. Once you've filled up, check out the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, a nearby gallery that shares professional work by local emerging artists. At night, head to Bethel Woods Center for the Arts (the actual site of the 1969 Woodstock Festival). Purchase lawn seats for their summer concerts and enjoy snacks on a picnic blanket.

Acadia, Maine

Keep an eye out for lots of wildlife as you hike through the pine trails of Acadia National Park (and set out early, as sunrise from the top of Cadillac Mountain is worth the early wake-up call). Then you can spend the day exploring the park's myriad of attractions, like sea cliffs formed from granite (Schoodic Byway) and biking around Eagle Lake. If you're more comfortable soaking up the Maine air from a heated car seat, consider taking a GMC Acadia for a spin. End your evening at Bar Harbor Inn or Hadley's Point Campground for a more rustic experience.

For a tropical getaway full of culture, escape with your loved one to Sandals Royal Plantation Resort featured in season 20 of The Bachelor. Each villa comes with a private pool and you'll even have your own butler to assist with drawing a bath or bringing you breakfast in bed. Wander through the River Bumpkin Farm during the day and cozy up and watch the picturesque Caribbean sunset at night. What could be more romantic than this?

Now's the perfect time of year to book your accommodations at Red Mountain Resort, as the weather's not stifling hot (like it is throughout summer) and you'll be able to enjoy most of your day outdoors. Head out for guided hikes through Snow Canyon State Park. If you're willing to venture out about an hour to Zion National Park, the two of you can test your trust levels on the Angels Landing trail (let's just say there are a lot of narrow paths, and sometimes you need a partner close by to help you traverse the moderately difficult trail). The work is tough, but get there early — or at the end of the day — for a sunrise or sunset view that's 100% worth the calorie burn.

Perfect for the unconventional couple, Spring Creek Ranch is the ideal spot for those seeking seclusion and romance in a unique way. The ranch's accommodations are ruggedly elegant, and the views of the Teton Mountains are breathtaking to boot. After a day of sleigh riding or hiking (your pick!), return to the ranch for a spa treatment. Once you're settled, choose from a myriad of winter activities together and explore the snowfall together.

Natchez, Mississippi

Just 90 miles north of Baton Rouge, this bed-and-breakfast capital of the south is a foodie dream come true because, hello, it's known as "the biscuit capital of the world." But when you're not filling up on comfort food, you can visit the Natchez Trace Parkway for miles of fall foliage amidst maple and hickory trees. Bump up the romance with a horse-drawn carriage ride through the downtown area (and past an array of historic antebellum mansions, which you can also stay at) with Southern Carriage Tours, then visit Charboneau Distillery for a rum tour — or Old South Winery if vino is more your style.

Couples seeking a quaint, private getaway should head to this little coastal town where you'll get your fill of boating and all things nautical (currently imagining a quiet sail cuddled in cableknit sweaters …). Stay at Point Pleasant Inn, where only six suite-style rooms are available and you'll receive the individualized attention you deserve. And if you start to crave a little city slickin', you're only a short 30-minute drive from Providence and Newport, and an hour from Boston.

White Mountains, New Hampshire

It's one of the top destinations for dedicated leaf-peepers (don't knock it 'til you've tried it), so after you've driven (or ridden bikes, if you want to squeeze in a workout) through the main town to get a peek at the changing foliage — spend the day exploring the White Mountain Trail. There's 100 miles to choose from, seven covered bridges, a ton of roadside waterfalls, and even more scenic outlooks to relax at for lunch. If you're in for a thrill, sign up for ziplining to get up close and personal with the trees, then settle in for the evening at the Omni Mount Washington Bretton Woods for a luxurious, romantic night reconnecting.
