CESI•CS National Workshop
The Computers in Education Society for Ireland has created a Community of Practice, CESI•CS,  for educators concerned with Computer Science.

Face-to-face meetings in local education centres took place from December to April to establish relationships and share experience with educators at all levels and others interested in developments in Computer Science.

We are now planning to run a national workshop to bring participants together from all regions.

It will take place this summer on a Saturday from 10am to 5pm and be located in the midlands.

The aim will be to tackle a challenge related to the introduction of computing - it may be personal competence, level-specific or cross-levels and cross-curricular. Each workshop session should satisfy a need to work in collaboration to either learn a new skill or to achieve some outcome related to pedagogy, assessment or the curriculum. Using this form you can simply say you'd like to attend. If you can, make a proposal either for something you need personally - seeking support from others - or for something you can offer which you believe others or the community may need. Examples of topics might be programming languages, databases, embedded systems, learner progression, international experiences or computational thinking...

Sessions will take place over three hours in one of two slots, from 10am to 1pm or from 2pm to 5pm. If you feel that your idea for a session will take longer, then you may propose to use the whole day from 10am to 5pm with a break for lunch at 1pm.

Use this form to indicate your interest in simply participating or to make a proposal for a session.  You can also express a preference for a good date to hold the workshop.

As soon as we have settled the date and the workshop sessions, we will advertise and invite you to attend.
