Cuomo’s book is a ‘disaster’

Gov. Cuomo’s plan to launch his presidential bid with an inspiring autobiography has gone haywire, partly because the micromanaging governor was too busy governing.

“It’s a disaster,” said one source. “Who wants to read about how he got where he is when he is under investigation?”

HarperCollins had planned a bio by The Post’s Fred Dicker, with Cuomo’s cooperation. But that was shelved, and Cuomo made a deal — for $1 million, sources say — to write his own autobiography to come out before an unauthorized bio by Michael Shnayerson.

After many delays, Cuomo’s “All Things Possible: Setbacks and Success in Politics and Life” hits shelves Oct. 14, and the gov will promote it Oct. 15 at Barnes & Noble in Union Square.

One of Cuomo’s bigger problems as an author was dealing with US Attorney Preet Bharara’s investigation into why Cuomo shut down his own anti-corruption Moreland Commission.

Another source said Cuomo was too busy putting out fires to work on his memoir because his top advisers have been sidelined.

“Andrew’s running his own show. He needs some help,” my source said. “Because there is no one guiding him.”
