England remain fifth in team rankings, Sri Lanka drop to fourth

The England off-spinner Graeme Swann has been elevated to the top of the ICC one-day international bowling rankings after his series figures of eight for 164 against Sri Lanka.

The 32-year-old has overtaken the New Zealand spinner Daniel Vettori, who had been top since September 2009.

Swann is the No2 bowler in the world in the ICC's Test rankings, behind South Africa's Dale Steyn.

In the overall team rankings, England's 3-2 series win completed with Saturday's 16-run win at Old Trafford, sees Sri Lanka drop from third to fourth, behind South Africa, in the ICC ODI Championship while England remain in fifth.
