Phenomenal soft serve! I am a total ice cream snob and every vacation it's my favorite thing to do (eat a new ice cream place daily). This one is definitely top on the list. Small-er menu compared to others in the area but super great soft serve.

Adorable old fashioned style place with the most amazing soft serve ice cream!! The prices are great and the staff does a great job at getting the orders out in a timely manner.

Amazing service the lady at the front was very nice! The food/ice cream was very good and they had a wide variety of choices. The ambiance was also good. Would definitely recommend!

Good, but Leone's price is a buck less expensive for a medium chocolate cone.

If you're looking for a no-nonsense, cash only place with TRUE Americana flare and flavors make sure you hit this little joint folks..
And if you want me to be completely honest.. I would hit the Slab Burger and grab a root beer from them.. no ice..take it over to the Dairy Lodge and have them at a small cone size of ice cream it would make the best and I mean d-best root beer float you've ever had..
I did a baby comb swirl he did a small dip cherry cone.. True happiness for $2.60..
if you're heading up to Traverse City I would definitely bookmark this little place for a treat

Great ice cream, meh service.

This seems like a staple for the neighborhood - a "quick" and cheap, good ice cream stand within walking distance to water views and downtown shops. The line was very long, showing the popularity (or slowness of service). Once we ordered, our friends ordered after us. I ordered a simple, twist cone with chocolate dip. Watching our friends get their ice cream, along with several other parties after us, made me suspicious that my simple single order was forgotten... But watch out if other people think you're trying to get ahead of them... woah! People can sometimes be so possessive over a $3 ice cream cone that they think is theirs... Perhaps indicative of the insane line and wait to receive your order.

Once I went up to the window and found out that they did indeed forget my order, the lady kindly apologized and made it. It is a very good soft-serve ice cream, and the chocolate dip was one of the better ones that I've had. The price was still right, $3 for a medium cone and 85 cents for the dip. They aren't as generous with the size portions as some other midwest ice cream favorites of mine, but it was appropriate (perhaps "normal").

Nothing to rave about, but simply a good neighborhood ice cream fix for the soft-serve lovers in the group.

Great simple chocolate malted milk shake although the chocolates a little too sweet like so much soft serve ...
