Lindley Murray's English Grammar, volume 1, steps the student logically through the rules of grammar. It is informative and readable, but not simple or simplistic. Unfortunately, the book does not contain a table of Contents.

It's awesome, first time I have seen that in a book for alphabets how many times of different type of pronunciation is available is mentioned. We know these things but not aware of that...it's really helpful and even it's better than a book for its simple understandable english. I must recommend it to others....

Its a quite comprehensive book on English grammar. Can you please help me with authenticated material that using 'The most perfect, The most famous and The most beautiful, superlative degree of perfect, famous and beautiful instead of' Most perfect, Most famous and Most beautiful' is correct grammatically???
