Nissan will unveil a new compact crossover at the Sao Paulo Motor Show which starts on October 29, and days before the unveiling the've given the world a preview of the unnamed vehicle. The preview shows a tall crossover with relatively high ground clearance, and the most recent version of Nissan's evolving corporate grille. The preview image of the upcoming concept also features an interesting character line at the C-pillar, and a relatively small cargo area in the back, judging by the shutline of the rear doors.

Some are speculating that the upcoming concept could be a replacement for the Nissan Juke, which has been on sale since 2010 as a 2011 model. The preview image of the Sao Paulo concept appears to have largely the same proportions as the adventurously-styled Juke with short overhangs, a tall shoulderline, generous ground clearance and a relatively small cargo area. The concept is unlikely to preview a replacement for the Nissan Qashqai, a Rogue-sized crossover sold in other markets including Europe, Australasia, and South America, as a second-gen Qashqai arrived in 2013.

The Juke debuted at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, so a concept hinting at its replacement is about due. Nissan isn't talking, so we'll have to wait for the reveal to see if it's a heavy facelift of the Juke, a replacement for it, or something new entirely.

The Sao Paulo Motor Show runs from October 30 through November 9 at the Anhembi Convention Center.
