BANGOR, Maine — A 39-year-old man was charged with drunken driving after a street sweeper overturned last week on Stillwater Avenue.

Richard Roser of Bangor was sweeping near Texas Roadhouse when the equipment overturned early Friday, Bangor police Sgt. Tim Cotton said Monday.

Roser was not seriously injured, Cotton said. The sweeper belongs to Levant Landscaping, the sergeant added.

In addition to operating under the influence, Roser was charged with operating after suspension.
