Waterfront homes are boarded up throughout York County.

The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood warning for York and Cumberland counties in Maine and Rockingham County in New Hampshire from 2 a.m. until 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The U.S. Coast Guard is asking people to make sure their small boats and kayaks are secured well.

"Just make sure that it's tied up and away from the shoreline," said LTJG Connan Ingham.

Unmanned watercraft that break away from moorings may initiate unnecessary search-and-rescue efforts for first responders.

In Ogunquit, a 10-man crew was busy on Monday sealing up a job site to protect it from the storm.

"We started, actually, Saturday with the small storm, but this big storm now, we've been on it all day, so we've lost today and then we'll have to clean up the snow and everything after the storm, so you really lose, like, two days," said Dave Hill with Frame to Finish Construction.

The project was close to being finished when the snow returned.

One more week is all we need and we could have had it roofed and everything," said Hill.
