Weapons and drug charges, Toowoomba

A man has been charged with a number of weapons, firearm and drug offences after a search warrant was executed on a residence at Ravensbourne, north of Toowoomba this morning.

During the search of the property on Ravensbourne Dip Road officers uncovered a number of firearms and ammunition as well as a quantity of drugs.

A 54-year-old Ravensbourne man was charged with four counts of unlawful possession of weapons, one count each of possessing modified firearms, possessing shortened firearms, possessing explosives (ammunition), possessing dangerous drugs and possessing utensils.

He is expected to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on August 29.
