11. “Bad” news is sometimes good, as Swift’s new Hot 100 No. 1 is the 11th song to top the list with the word “bad” in its title. It’s the first since Daniel Powter‘s “Bad Day” in 2006. The first? Jimmy Dean’s “Big Bad John” in 1961. Swift’s new topper is also the second No. 1 “Bad Blood”: Neil Sedaka‘s different song of the same name reigned in 1975.

12. With her Hot 100 victory, Swift has new fodder for on-stage: The U.S. leg of her 1989 World Tour kicked off last Wednesday (May 20) in Bossier City, La.
13. The race for Billboard‘s top song of the summer of 2015 just got much more interesting. With “Blood” advancing to No. 1 just before the seasonal tracking period and the return of the annual Songs of the Summer chart, the song will compete from a strong starting spot. We’ll find out the winner just after Labor Day.

As Swift takes over atop the Hot 100, “Again” (1-2), which Khalifa and Puth performed on the BBMAs, tallies its seventh week at No. 1 on both Streaming Songs (22.7 million U.S. streams, down 1 percent) and the subscription services-based On-Demand Songs chart (6.7 million, down 4 percent). And, a strong consolation prize in light of the track’s departure from the Hot 100’s top perch: “Again” takes over as the new No. 1 on the Radio Songs chart, where it lifts 2-1, up 5 percent to 155 million in all-format audience. On Digital Songs, “Again” dips 1-2 after seven weeks at the apex, with 211,000 downloads sold.
“Again” concurrently leads Billboard‘s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts for a seventh week each.
Fetty Wap‘s “Trap Queen” drops to No. 3 on the Hot 100 from its No. 2 high; Walk the Moon‘s “Shut Up and Dance” holds at its No. 4 Hot 100 peak (and crowns Hot Rock Songs for a ninth week); The Weeknd‘s “Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)” falls from No. 3, its best rank, to No. 5; former 14-week Hot 100 No. 1 “Uptown Funk!” descends 5-6; and Jason Derulo‘s “Want to Want Me” retreats from its No. 6 high point to No. 7.?
Guetta scores his sixth Hot 100 top 10, as “Hey Mama” rises 11-8 (and leads Hot Dance/Electronic Songs for a sixth week). He’d last reached the top 10 in summer 2012 with the No. 7-peaking “Titanium,” featuring Sia. “Mama” is his second top 10 featuring Minaj: “Turn Me On” hit No. 4 earlier in 2012. “Mama” is Minaj’s 12th Hot 100 top 10 overall, extending her record among female rappers; Missy Elliott ranks second with nine. Rexha posts her first top 10 and Afrojack his second, following his featured turn (with Ne-Yo and Nayer) on Pitbull‘s 2011 No. 1 “Give Me Everything.”

After Guetta and Minaj performed “Mama” on the BBMAs, and following the release of its official video (May 19), the song sports a 13 percent gain to 112,000 downloads sold, although it slips 5-7 on Digital Songs; hits the Radio Songs top 10 (12-9; 74 million, up 13 percent); and bounds 24-11 on Streaming Songs (7 million, up 50 percent).
Rounding out the Hot 100’s top 10, Maroon 5‘s No. 2-peaking “Sugar” drops 7-9 (while its new single, “This Summer’s Gonna Hurt…,” charges 67-31) and T-Wayne‘s “Nasty Freestyle” drops from its No. 9 peak to No. 10.

In highlights just below the Hot 100’s top tier, Meghan Trainor‘s “Dear Future Husband” rises 17-14 (while passing 1 million downloads sold to-date); Fifth Harmony‘s “Worth It,” featuring Kid Ink, pushes 19-17; and Skrillex and Diplo‘s “Where Are U Now,” featuring Justin Bieber, reaches the top 20 (22-20).
