LEHI -- Swoop and Cosmo headed up a long roster of famous mascots who came together Monday to help underprivileged kids.

It was a game that was pure animal on the field. The Lehi Little League football team took on the all-star mascot team Monday to in the 9th-annual Mascot Bowl. Celebrity coaches Jerry Sloan and Ron McBride called the shots for the mascot team this year, with a little help from Ron James and Olympic gold medalist Derek Parra.

The big game raises money for Firemen & Friends for Kids and Bear Hugs for Kids - charities that provide opportunities for kids in need to do a little shopping at Christmastime.

Swoop and Cosmo were joined on the field by the Jazz Bear, Grizbee of the Utah Grizzlies, Real Salt Lake's Leonardo the Lion and Bumble of the Salt Lake Bees - to name just a few.

Spectators and athletes alike were also treated to food, prizes and even fireworks.

The best part: both teams managed to score a touchdown! An impressive feat for kids half the size of the mascots.
