Swimming Adds Eight for 2014-2015 Season

7/15/2014 10:49:00 AM

Heading into their second season, the Cedar Crest College Swim Team added serious depth this past year to add to an already talented roster.  Second year coach Greg Vossler describes the incoming swimmers below:

2014-2015 Incoming Athletes
Briana Hall
– Sussex Technical – "Briana will be looked upon to deepen our sprint program, her skill and power in this should make her one of the top sprinters not only in our conference but regionally and hopefully nationally as well."

Marisa Aldridge – Greater Nanticoke – "We will be looking to Marisa to add depth in our middle distance freestyle events, she has the potential to be extremely competitive not only on our squad, but in conference as well."

Cassidy Jones – New Milford – Cassidy is our top distance swimmer coming in, we needed help in this area only having one distance swimmer on the roster last season, and she could become our #1 distance swimmer by the end of the season"

Aiyana Allanson – Montoursville – "Aiyana to me is one of the most exciting swimmers coming in, although she hasn't been in the water the last year the desire is there and I will call upon her in vital times this season."

Nithya Lakshminarayanan – Council Rock North – "Nithya has been a constant for us since the moment she walked on campus, she will add much needed depth in the stroke events and could compete for top spots in our relays and could be a top 15 swimmer at the NEAC Championships."

Steph Di Verde – Massapequa – "Steph will add depth in every single area, not a lot of swimmers can do that, so I am excited to have her coming in."

Taylor Marshall – Teaneck – "Taylor is another example of someone who can do it all, she could be our #1 Butterflyer by conference champs and find herself on a top 3 relay."

Deja Lewis – Abraham Lincoln – "Deja is going to be a fantastic freestyle swimmer for us, her skill will help us win those tough points that separated us from the close losses last season."
