Report: Coyotes to send Max Domi back to OHL

The Arizona Coyotes appear set to send highly-touted forward prospect Max Domi back to the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League, according to Bob McKenzie of TSN.

Back in July, Domi stated he was going to do everything it takes to make the Coyotes roster this season, after general manager Don Maloney said the 19-year-old would get a good look at training camp.

In three seasons with the Knights, Domi - drafted 12th overall in 2013 - recorded 94 goals and 135 assists in 187 games, and he appeared to be well-positioned to inject some youth and skill into a Coyotes' lineup that scored only 210 goals in 2013-14, good for 20th in the NHL.

On the plus side, perhaps Domi will finally have an opportunity to represent Canada at the World Junior Championship this holiday season.
