Armed robberies, Goodna

Police are investigating two armed robberies that occurred in Goodna last night believed to be linked.

The first incident occurred around 10.40pm when a man approached a 19-year-old woman who was using an ATM at a shopping centre on the corner of Queen and Albert Streets.

The man has threatened the woman with a knife and demanded she withdraw an amount of money. The woman complied before the man fled on foot along Albert Street.

The second incident occurred around 11.20pm when a taxi driver was threatened by a man armed with a knife he had just picked up in Arkins Crescent.

The man demanded a sum of money from the male taxi driver before fleeing on foot with the cash.

No one was physically injured.

Police investigations are continuing into the two robberies.
