Deadline nearing to get on lighthouse donors' wall

An artist’s rendering of the donors’ wall which will include the names of those who have contributed $500 or more to the Lighthouse Forever Fund for the restoration of St. Joseph’s lighthouses on the North Pier. The deadline for getting your name on the wall is Feb. 15. The revamped lighthouses will be dedicated and donors recognized May 19.

ST. JOSEPH - The Lighthouse Forever Fund continues to accept donations toward the restoration of St. Joseph's historic beacons, and the deadline is nearing for major contributors to get their names engraved on the donors' wall.

"This has been a great community effort," said Bob Judd, chairman of the Lighthouse Forever Fund committee, which has raised $1.82 million toward its goal of $2 million. "We want to include all donors of $500 or more on the donor recognition structure."
