ATTN: PTS Server Players

I'm just curious as to the changes to classes and how well or poorly they're playing.

 

The sorcs have been very vocal on forums and most like the changes on the PTS but I have yet to see anything from the other classes.

 

Would love to hear some feedback on the other changes.

good luck getting honest feedback lol. but maybe you can wade through the QQ and see what they're legitimately concerned about

 

I saw that... I went to the PTS forums and I pretty much read most of it as this...

 

"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!!!'

 

and

 

"WTH overload animation"

 

That was the extent of the feedback over there. :D

 

Yeah people tend to be pretty biased towards the class(s) they play...crazy I know.

 

WHAT? :eek:

 

I don't believe it... not THIS community?!?!?! :D

Mercs and commandos are feeling butt hurt for some reason. Some vocal about their hard stun cryo-grenade being the only reason they survive in PvP.

 

Merc/Commando is a ranged class, and their only stun is being nerfed to 10m (to match PT/Vanguard), when all of their other abilities are 30m. Merc/Commando doesn't have many options to keep melee at bay, and this nerf is not going to help them any.

 

They have a very valid complaint. It's a completely unnecessary nerf.

Agreed as well. 30m ranged classes should all have a 30m stun.

Melee is still 4m and you have a knockback don't you? I believe this is more of a nerf to dealing with other range classes rather than melee.

Same can be said for Sorc/Sage. 30m ranged class that had it's stun reduced to 10m. And why do Snipers get to keep their AOE knockback?

 

Because they don't move??? make sense?

 

The stun for Sorc should have been used as a get away mechanism, which really is necessary when someone is on you at close range. Stun and sprint out of rang. It was being abused at 30m to stun people in fire pits and all kinds of craziness where you don't even see the sorc.

OK....so just like the 1.2 patch, melee cried and the sorc/sage get screwed.....typical

No. Merc vs. ranged is easy to counter: just move out of the way.

 

Merc vs. melee is the problem. Many use their stun as a defensive tool to prevent melee players from closing the gap (via leap or sprint). If melee is within 10m, Merc is already at a serious disadvantage because they have no real means to widen that gap again.

That's why I play every class - so I can see what the balance really is between all the ACs.

 

^Pretty much this. You can't really know about the balance in the game (what is overpowered or underpowered) until you fully understand the nit and gritty of all the classes and how they affect each other.
