It’s Day 17 of my 28 Days of Spring Fashion and of course I’m styling my white jeans. It wouldn’t be spring without them!
I also thought I might take a break from some of the trendy styles. 🙂 It’s funny how we all have such strong opinions on certain styles. It makes me laugh.
What I try to do is show fashion trends that I think women over 40 can wear. I don’t like to put everything in a neat box. I like to be a little adventurous but conservative.
Coral is one of my favorite colors. I saw this top at LOFT and thought it would go perfect with my white ankle jeans. The top is on sale for $15 and they have it in multiple colors. I’m wearing a medium for size reference. The white ankle jeans are regular $79.95 and are on sale for $39.97
It’s been pretty chilly most days so taking pictures in spring clothes has about killed me. I try to remind myself I took pictures when it was in the single digits but I was wearing winter clothes then.
It’s hard to forget this picture. That was the beginning of March, it has warmed up but still too cold for spring clothes on most days.

2 great outfits Cindy. I especially love the pone with the denim jacket and those flats are adorable/
Take Care, Ada.
I DO want to be brave enough to buy and wear white jeans this spring and summer. Most of the ones I have tried on have VPL (visible panty lines). What type underwear do you recommend for white jeans (if any…or nude color thongs? )
I wear nude microfiber hipsters (Jockey brand) with white jeans…no VPL!
Love this look! And love the fact there’s no snow in your picture…..lol.
Our snow is gone also, so I may break out my white jeans. Thanks for sharing your style tips with us!
Sue, Finally it’s spring outside! Pull out those white jeans and wear them with a smile that we survived the winter!
Blessings,
Cyndi
Do the jeans run true to size? Are they made of a thin material?
I like this outfit the best of all the spring outfits so far! It’s cute and sassy! The tops that are long and baggy don’t flatter our figures….they draw the eye to the widest part, our hips or thighs, and hide our waists. I know they are in style, but you don’t always have to follow the latest trend to look good. It’s better to know what suits your body first.
What a cute look and I have all those pieces! Just bought that shirt a couple weeks ago to wear underneath some Loft spring hi-lo sweaters. I see that you put a cami underneath for more coverage. I will have to do the same if I wear it as an outer layer. I wish Loft’s vneck tees were a little more modest!
What a cute outfit, Cyndi! I love the entire look. The necklaces from Stella and Dot are adorable. I may have to check those out and think about a purchase :)!
Thanks Sara!! I love that you’re planning ahead. 🙂
Blessings,
Cyndi
Love this outfit!! I can put it together from things I already own. I am going to a Beach Boys concert this weekend and you just styled my outfit!
This outfit is what I call a classic!! Will never go out if style. I love everything about it. You can do so much with white jeans, and I love what you did with yours. Awesome!!
This is such a great looking outfit! And of course it looks great on you too! I was thinking about wearing an outfit similar to this but with more of a red Top with tiny white stripes, and my white espadrilles 🙂
Love the outfit! You look great! Love Loft too! I never buy anything in there full price. They have a 40% off everything sale just about every 4 or 6 weeks so no need to. I especially love their pants and like the fact that they offer straight fit or curvy fit in their jeans. I have found the jeans last forever and do well in the wash. I like their tops but find they don’t hold up as well as the pants, especially the tee’s. But they are so cute! Oh, and if you give them your email they will send you things like 1/2 price coupons for their full price merchandise on their website for if you can’t wait for the sale. And, no, I don’t work for them. Just really like their casual clothes.
Hi Cyndi,
I like the outfit, the colors look great, very springy. Here in So Cal we wear white all year round, sandals too; last week the temperature got up to 90 for two days! We don’t actually have “seasonal” wardrobes, just add or subtract appropriate outerwear. I think sometimes ladies take your outfits too literally; If I am not mistaken, your outfits are meant to inspire us to try new things but put our own stamp on it. I admire you for taking chances and putting yourself out there for all to comment on. Have a blessed weekend.
Cindy
THE LINK FOR THE LEOPARD SHOES DOESNT WORK! lOVE THEM!
Love it !!!! You inspire me Cindi and I love all the great ideas
Thank you so much Sharon!

I wear white skinny jeans with brown riding boots in the winter. Love them! Don’t have to wait till spring. And I must say that at 43, I love fashion & I love trendy clothes! My 18 year old daughter wears my clothes & gets compliments all the time. I dress conservative with only exception that my dresses/skirts are always above knee because I’m size 2 & only 5’2″. So I feel longer swallows me up unless more form fitting. I do occasionally wonder if I should be dressing more “old lady-like” but you have been quite the inspiration to me… to be the way God made me. No apologies. Also, I’m interested in essential oils for hormonal changes I’m challenged with & unsure what ones would be best for me. I would appreciate greatly some personal advice in this area.
I always love your sense of style – you somehow always manage to look great in everything you put together!! Love today’s look, it just screams – Spring, you are here, and we’ve been waiting for you – BAM!!! The necklace is beautiful, gives your outfit a kind of southwestern look, at least in the pictures, for me. Coral looks amazing on you – enjoy your day!!!!
I agree with the other readers. I really like this look. I love the shoes. My leopard flats are looking rather worn out and I think these would be perfect!
Lorraine, They sure do go with just about everything!
Blessings,
Cyndi
My husband and I are flying to FL this afternoon and I had planned to wear an outfit that is almost exactly like the one you pictured today! However, we got about 6 inches of snow last night and this morning, so I had to pick something else to wear. Can’t wait to wear the white jeans, leopard flats, and jean jacket though!
Mary, Doesn’t it always seem like the snow is ruining a cute outfit? Soon summer will be here!
Blessings,
Cyndi
Love the outfit, just my style for my lifestyle! Like others have mentioned, the white jeans are on hold until this blasted snow is over, we are in the 3-5″ of snow as well. Just to sloppy outside, and still wearing boots…….
I have on white ankle jeans today also with print top. Going to go eat later so may do denim jacket! Love the necklace.
I love this outfit, very cute. I love some outfits and some I don’t. Everyone is different, the world would be a boring place if everyone loved the same things. Happy first day of Spring. There is snow here in MD 🙂
I busted out my white jeans for St. Patricks’ Day….just could not bear winter clothes any longer! I still won’t be wearing white shoes til after Easter though!
Super cute outfit today!
Thank you so much Erika!
Blessings,
Cyndi
I am wearing my white jeans today too. I should have ordered those leopard print shoes the first time you showed them. I knew they would be popular. You look great as always!
As my “20-something” daughters’ say, “Cyndi – You do you.” Keep the trends coming! It’s nice when I know about a trend BEFORE my stylish daughters!
I love that!! You do You, I’m going to remember that!!
Blessings,
Cyndi
Hahahaa Sandy! I get some style tips from my daughter, but I’m glad to hear you are keeping ahead of yours!
Blessings,
Cyndi
Love the outfit. A top in the UK Blue would be really cute with the white jeans. GO CATS!!!
I’m a Kentucky girl (Paducah).
Pam,
We are with you! Go Cats!

Love this outfit. My favorite of March thus far. I save whites for the summer. Not sure why but that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
Christine, You just keep on doing you – nothing wrong with waiting on wearing the whites!
Blessings,
Cyndi
I don’t often comment but felt called to today. I think you do a great job of showing what women our age can wear. I’ll be 40 in less than 2 months so I’m planning ahead! I may not always care for some of your outfits, but I always just read & then move on. I LOVE this outfit today! It is totally something I would wear, and probably could precisely as over half my closet is Ann Taylor & Loft.
What size are you wearing in the jeans? Do they run true to size?
Are those the relaxed skinny jeans from LOFT?
Love today’s outfit, but wearing white for me will have to wait..it is to dirty and nasty outside today. Maybe tomorrow I will be more adventurous.
You look great in this outfit, and I love the necklace.
Thank you so much!
Blessings,
Cyndi
I’m ready! Is it to early?
I have my white jeans on today in celebration of Spring, even if it is a cool, dreary day here in Louisiana!
I love this outfit Cyndi. You look so cute!! I love your hair length by the way too… 😉
We are actually getting snow here today … AGAIN!! Yikes!! 3-6 inches expected!! HELP!!!! Therefore, I am still in boots today!! 😉 oh boy…I know spring is on the way… I just know it!!! 😉
