National Board Awareness Session -Virtual-NYS

To increase access for teachers to gain accurate information about board certification, this is a virtual awareness session. We will email you a Zoom conference call link to connect and it is really easy. This session will provide an overview of the National Board Certification (NBC) process for teachers, union leaders or administrators. We will outline the new National Board Certification requirements and provide access to resources for the professional, financial and technical supports available to candidates. Timelines, fees and a discussion of certification areas will also be presented. This is professional development that is completely aligned with the New York State Teaching Standards and APPR. Check your district's contract language to see if there are additional compensations to achieve board certification. If your district is not listed as you register click "Other".
