Mutli-Direction Doors

    Ever play a round where the builders on your team decide to put a door the wrong way and you have to hit the doors just right to go through? Thats what I would like to fix.

    I have started to notice lately that a lot of my proposals have been reverting back to some of the early mechanics from Classic. Whether that be a good thing or a bad thing is up to you.

    In either case, because of this, I have started looking at the differences between Classic and Current, determining what I think worked better in each game. One of the things I liked a lot better in Classic was the way doors opened.

    Doors in classic opened by walking into them at any direction. It allowed for easier building and easier travel. With the steam release a lot of new players have started playing, not knowing that you can change the direction a door faces. Because of this, people struggle to get through their own team doors, not only making it harder on new players, but oldies like me.

    What I suggest is going back to a multi-direction door. This will allow new players to struggle less with building and smooth out the gameplay for everyone. After awhile, it may be possible to go back to a single-direction door, but for now having a multi-direction would be better. Especially since there are really no pros to having a single-direction door other than it looking good, but isn't gameplay more important than graphics? Rhetorical question of course since KAG's overall gameplay is amazing, but doesn't have BF4 graphics.

    Sounds like a good idea, would help with the thicker towers that really block off part of the map.

    However, multidirection doors are far superiod if you know how to use them.

    -Flip a door sideways and you can ascend or descend through it vertically. Also, you can walk over it an not fall through, making it an ideal platform since it doesn't block teammates from popping above/below it.
    -If climbing upwards diagonally, you can pass through a door no matter how it's rotated because you're pressing up and a direction key. If there's a door rotated incorrectly, press Up or Down + The direction needed to walk through it. Inconvenient? Maybe. But a good builder like me can use rotatable doors to a more customizable extent than we could in classic.

    Also note that classic had that lag when walking through multiple doors, while current KAG for the most part does not.

    Classic doors when walked over did not open unless you pressed down.

    I know there are builders like you who know what they are doing, but you are like a majestic unicorn. Rare or maybe doesn't even exist.

    oh wow this is news to me. Either I'm too used to classic or the game doesn't make it obvious that door direction matters (their sprite animation only occupies one tile, so it's very subtle in my opinion).
